If you are new to study and anxious about whether you are adequately prepared, we can help.
BTI have two pathways to study for learners who may lack confidence in their skills or practical tools of how to study.
If it has been a while since you left school, or if you are anxious about how you will cope with writing essays or understanding the APA referencing system, it is well-worth coming to Get Set.
Get Set is a short but popular tertiary study skills course, offered free to all students who have enrolled at BTI.
An important bonus of the course is that it provides an opportunity to connect with other students who are in a similar situation.
If you’re interested in studying but are worried about whether or not you’ve got what it takes to be a successful student, we’ve got what you need.
“While the programme is designed primarily to lead into the social work, counselling and teaching degrees at Bethlehem Tertiary Institute, we also have students who are using it as preparation for other disciplines such as psychology and physiotherapy,” Penny says.
The programme consists of three courses, one of which includes a practical component.
BTI offers ongoing learning support while you study with us, including one-on-one advice, online resources and video tutorials. Our academic support team can help with any issues from essay writing and referencing through to study skills and time management.
