Business and Industry

BTI partners with local businesses and non-profit organisations in many different ways. Relationships with our partners are central to life at BTI as we grow and work together.

Partnerships in action at BTI:

  • Our students undertake placements or practical experience in many local kura, childcare centres and colleges

  • Our programmes are designed with close collaboration with iwi and industry bodies as well as registration bodies to ensure employment needs and student skills match

  • Our graduates go onto employment with many businesses and organisations, both locally and further afield

  • Our educators have often worked in their field of expertise for many years before coming to teach our students, and maintain these links back into the industry to ensure our students have real life examples to learn from

  • Not to mention that we work with many local businesses and organisations to supply BTI with goods and services.

For example – BTI and NZACS building PD for teachers at Christian schools in Aotearoa

BTI is a member of the NZACS New Zealand Association of Christian Schools. Currently over 65 schools are members of the Association, with about 13,000 students in total and over 1,000 teaching staff. A contributing factor to the growth of Christian schools is the networking and professional development services provided by this association, which our educators are often involved in. We support workshops and professional development sessions run by the NZACS in Auckland, Wellington and Christchurch. We also have some NZACS teaching staff engaging in postgraduate study to further their development at BTI.
