As we announced in November, BTI’s current Te Taiurungi/Principal Dr Andrew Butcher is leaving BTI at the end of this year after 5 years in the role.
Dr James Arkwright has agreed to step up as Acting Principal from Monday, 9th January 2023, while we search for Dr Butcher’s successor.
BTI’s Chair of the Board of Directors, Dr Tweed says, “BTI celebrates its 30th year in 2023. We are looking for a new Principal to lead the Institute into the next season. In the meantime, I am delighted that James is standing in as Acting Principal. He has the support of the ELT and this will ensure continuity for the Institute, for students and for staff.”
Dr Arkwright will continue as Head of School of Social Practice while he is Acting Principal.
