BTI acknowledge Ngāti Kahu as mana whenua of the land upon which the campus is situated.  We are committed to developing Tiriti-based relationships and connection as we work alongside each other. As a campus we endeavour to grow an authentic partnership of mutual care and understanding while embracing tikanga and kawa of tangata whenua. BTI appreciates the generosity of Ngāti Kahu to partner with us in our learning journey.

BTI is committed to strengthening and growing the covenantal intent of Te Tiriti o Waitangi. Cultural values and perspectives are interwoven with our underlying Christian philosophy, principles, and vision. We recognise this journey is a continual move towards mana ōrite and the living out of relationships that build reconciliation and shalom.

Rurea, taitea kia tū ko taikākā anake – Strip away the bark and expose the heartwood.

Whiria te tangata – Weave the people together
