Biography

Tauha joined the School of Social Practice at BTI in 2020. He is a registered social worker with an extensive and diverse range of work experience, which includes: youth work, alcohol and drug rehabilitation, medical social work, community development, mental health social work, and social work education. His work with children and youth began with designing and facilitating re-employment programmes for long-term unemployed youth, after which he facilitated Alternative Education programmes with youth excluded from the mainstream education system. He has worked within a children’s residential care setting, and was the National Trainer for the Children’s Health Camp movement, facilitating social work training programmes across seven regional sites.
