Biography
Penny is an educator for the NZ Certificate in Study and Career Preparation (Level 4). She is also one of the learning advisors in the Academic Support team.
Penny has been at BTI for over twenty years as a student, tutor and educator, at times dabbling in administration. She is passionate about helping people find out that they are more capable than they thought they were, and gets excited about seeing lights go on when people understand a concept. She has a Master’s degree in Education and her long experience of being a student herself is invaluable when helping others adjust to student life. Her wide variety of interests including writing novels, juggling, sailing, cryptic crosswords, Sudoku and occasional forays into upholstery and plumbing.
