At BTI, you will learn from staff who are experienced teachers and educators, researchers, practitioners, health workers and graduates themselves. Many have worked in private practice, for public institutions and for universities in Aotearoa New Zealand and overseas.

Biography
Jo is the Head of Administration and enjoys bringing together the threads of the team to create a harmonious tapestry of administrative treasure. She has been involved with BTI since 2004 after moving to Tauranga from the Gold Coast, Australia.
She feels blessed to be employed at BTI, where faith and vocation are integrated, and being involved in the Executive Leadership team she represents the ‘ground level’ of BTI, with extensive knowledge of the administration roles from student application through to Graduation.
In 2024, she completed her Masters of Professional Practice and Leadership through BTI with the thesis title of “Exploring the perceived influences of childhood/adolescence experiences on subsequent leadership development: A qualitative phenomenological study” and is currently pursuing publication of articles based on this research.
Originally from Australia, she has been married to Graeme for nearly 23 years and has two children – Sophie (who is studying Engineering at Deakin University in Melbourne, Australia) and Wesley who is currently a Year 12 student at Bethlehem College. Outside of work, she spends much of her time with family commitments (particularly her son’s golfing obsession!), and in her rare downtime loves a good book, baking, paddle boarding and spending time with friends and family.
