At BTI, you will learn from staff who are experienced teachers and educators, researchers, practitioners, health workers and graduates themselves. Many have worked in private practice, for public institutions and for universities in Aotearoa New Zealand and overseas.
Biography
Howard rejoined BTI in 2024 as a part-time staff member after initially working at BTI as an educator in the early 2000s. In the 20 years since that time, Howard has worked in postgraduate teaching and research supervision, focusing on leadership in education, employed at both Unitec Institute of Technology and then Auckland University of Technology (AUT). As part of his AUT role he also was involved in international development and relations with a focus on ASEAN nations. He continues to facilitate leadership development workshops, has published numerous articles on leadership and was one of the editors for the Handbook of Leadership in Education, published by Edward Elgar in 2023.
