Final-year Fees Free is finishing at the end of 2026
The Government has confirmed that final-year Fees Free will finish on 31 December 2026.
Completing in 2026?
Learners who complete an eligible qualification or programme in 2026 may still be able to apply for their Fees Free entitlement within 12 months of completion, up to 31 December 2027.
Completing in 2027 or later?
Learners who complete their qualification or programme in 2027 or later will not be eligible for Fees Free, even if they started their study in 2025 or 2026.
This means eligibility is based on when a learner completes their qualification or programme, not only when they start.
