At Bethlehem Tertiary Institute (BTI), we believe education is not just about gaining knowledge; it’s about personal and transformative growth. This philosophy underpins our approach to every student’s journey, recognising that transformation begins with understanding and honouring the individual.
Students at BTI come from diverse backgrounds, bringing with them unique gifts, talents, experiences, and challenges. This rich diversity enhances our learning environment, and we are committed to ensuring that all students, including those with differing learning needs or abilities, are empowered to fully participate in their studies and reach their potential.
To further this commitment, BTI is proud to introduce Rosamond Bridgman as our Accessibility Support Co-ordinator. Rosamond’s role is to walk alongside students with identified learning needs—whether related to a diagnosis, disability, impairment, or medical condition—and help them overcome barriers to success.
Rosamond’s work may involve facilitating physical access to our facilities, helping students create realistic study schedules, or supporting the development of effective strategies for tackling assignments. At its heart, her approach is about celebrating and building on students’ strengths, fostering confidence, and equipping them with the tools they need to thrive.
“At BTI, we seek to honour the individual,” says Rosamond. “Supporting students isn’t just about removing obstacles; it’s about helping them see the strengths they already have and empowering them to use those strengths to achieve their goals.”
BTI is more than a place of learning—it’s a community that values each member’s story and journey. Through roles like Rosamond’s, we are dedicated to ensuring that every student has the support they need to succeed academically, personally, and professionally.
