We are excited to share that the BTI Research and Ethics Committee has received approval for funding six ‘Special Projects’ for the 2024-2025 period. This funding supports innovative research initiatives that align with our mission at BTI.
We extend our gratitude to the Christian Education Trust (CET) and commend the following staff members for their successful submissions:
- Dr Lindsay Fish: Supporting Christian school communities to engage in productive conversations about critical theory.
- Dr Hyeeun Kim: The experiences of counsellors in trauma therapy: Challenges in practice and training needs for professional development.
- Dr Peter Bray: Spiritual competence in counselling conversations.
- Michelle Youngs and Dr Howard Youngs: Narratives of Christian leadership.
- Richard Cook: A three-part framework for equipping Christ-followers to have everyday spiritual journeying conversations.
- Janette Blake and her team: Enhancing reflective practice in initial teacher training through video technology.
This year’s applications showcased a remarkable diversity of research skills and topics. These projects will not only contribute to our understanding of important issues but also enrich our community’s learning environment.
We look forward to sharing updates on these exciting projects and their impact on our practice, relationships with students, and growth as educators.
Congratulations to all the recipients, and we wish you every success as you embark on these important research journeys!
