BTI receives high praise from NZQA Approval Panel for new Master and postgrad Diploma Trauma-Responsive Programmes

We are thrilled to announce that Bethlehem Tertiary Institute (BTI) has received positive feedback from a NZQA Panel for two new postgraduate programmes: the Master and Postgraduate Diploma in Professional Practice (Trauma-Responsive Therapy) and the Master and Postgraduate Diploma in Professional Practice (Trauma-Informed Leadership and Service).

The NZQA panel was highly complimentary, calling our submission one of the best they had reviewed. They praised BTI’s bicultural commitment, our research excellence, and the authenticity of our Christian values, which they noted were fully integrated into every aspect of our work. Their feedback confirmed that BTI is a leader in trauma-informed education, and they expressed relief that these vital programmes will be delivered by our institution.

The NZQA Panel feedback means we are well on track to having the programmes approved for delivery in 2025, which marks a significant step in BTI’s journey to equip professionals with the knowledge and skills needed to address trauma within education, leadership, and service sectors. It also reaffirms our commitment to being a faith-based institution that promotes healing, growth, and resilience through Christ-centred education.

We want to extend our heartfelt thanks to everyone involved in this process, from the programme development team to the staff and students who contributed to the consultation. Your hard work has been invaluable in bringing these programmes to life.
