Our busy Semester 2 calendar got fully underway yesterday, Monday 25th July, with the first onsite intensives for Social Work and Counselling students in nearly 12 months.
Waiata and Karakia will be held 8.45-9.00am each morning of the intensives. It will be hosted in Room 4301 (Te Kōhao) and streamed into each class, including Abundant Life Church. We know that this sets the wairua and whakawhanaungatanga foundation of each day and is a key part of the tikanga of BTI, as we connect together before God.
BTI are taking every precaution to prevent the spread of Covid-19 when meeting together onsite. Therefore, every student and staff member will be required to take a RAT test no earlier than 24 hours before attending classes in the first week of intensives, and again, no earlier than 24 hours before attending classes in the second week. Student results should be recorded here. If you test positive for Covid-19, you cannot attend intensive classes onsite. RAT tests are available for free. Masks are required to be worn in all classes, with the exception of educators when teaching if they keep a 3-metre distance from the class. If you have an exemption from wearing a face mask, please bring your mask exemption card or certificate with you to class.
We are so glad that we can meet together again in person and at our BTI campus, knowing that it will be a rich time of connection and learning.
