Biography

Tatiana has an extensive background in social work practice, leadership and management roles. Her most recent work prior to BTI is with the Rotorua branch of the Aotearoa New Zealand Police within the Child Protection/Family Harm team and assisting to steer the BOP Collective Family Harm Prevention Unit. Her work in the area of child protection and family harm reduction has been widely recognised.

Tatiana enjoys working at BTI, a place where she can bring all of herself – what it means to her to be Māori, a Christian, a Social Worker – to her mahi in open and transparent ways. She says, “I believe the principles of God and His word are crucial for the effectiveness of my practice and for transformational outcomes.  My practice continues to be driven by Micah 6:6-8.  In short, do justly, love mercy and walk humbly with God.”
